Looks like Jessica Simpson might have a fairy godmother in the form of Dolly Parton. The National Enquirer is reporting that Parton has made Simpson, who was recently dumped from her country label, quite an offer - she has offered to bankroll Jess’ second country record on her label, Dolly Records.
“Dolly sees a lot of herself in Jessica. Her personal life has been the focal point of a lot of unwanted attention, and like Jessica, she’s had to battle her own doubts and demons,” an insider told American tabloid the National Enquirer.
“But Dolly is a pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps kind of gal, and she’s tried to instill some of that in Jessica.
“Jessica adores Dolly and trusts her completely. She says she’s ready to roll up her sleeves again, and she certainly wants success. But she doesn’t always seem willing to put in the hard work to make it happen. She would blow off tour rehearsals to hang out with [boyfriend] Tony Romo.
“Dolly is giving Jess a second chance. But if Jess is to succeed, ultimately she’s the one who has to make it happen.”

Honestly, I think Simpson's ship has sailed. Dolly at least has some talent, really she's an icon. Don't get me wrong, I think Simpson is gorgeous, but have you heard her sing? Yikes! I could never take her seriously, especially with her pervy dad always hanging around making inappropriate comments. At this point I think Jess should pack it in and call it a day. Either go back to school and get a career or go marry a nice guy and have a few kids. Or both if she wants. But her gigs reek of desperation these days.

Is that really Dolly Parson? Looks like a drag queen. Jessica needs to go back to pop music. She is not a believable country singer. Sounds fake.
