Happy Monday!

Good morning! Jake, Sam & I got to Florida Saturday night and have been enjoying the sun and warm weather. I gave my husband reason to be glad I was leaving for two weeks before I left. After much hubub with me trying to get myself, a 5 and 3 year old ready for a 2 week vacation, running around, etc, my husband took us to the airport. It was puzzling that we couldn't find our airline listed in any of the terminals at O'Hare. Just as we were about to park and go in to figure things out, I pulled up my itinerary on my Blackberry. "Oh shit, Craig! We're flying out of Midway!!" I was mortified. To his credit, Craig didn't even get mad at me. What a guy! We still made it to the airport in time and actually, I thought it was MUCH easier to deal with Midway than O'Hare. But still....I felt pretty stupid.

We're headed to the beach today and then up to Orlando for a day at The Magic Kingdom and a day at Sea World. I'm DEFINITELY more excited than the boys are. They have no idea what to expect. While I am planning on updating my blog during the next two weeks - it will most likely be light. I posted today about Kate Hudson's 30th birthday bash. Interesting that Justin Timberlake was "the life of the party," isn't it? Remember when JT and Kate hooked up at her New Year's Eve party a few years ago? With reports that love is on the rocks with surly, paparazzi tipin' Jessica Biel and Hudson off-again with Owen Wilson - maybe the time is right for a Hudson/Timberlake fling?! LOVE IT.

Did you see "Grey Gardens" this weekend on HBO? I haven't seen it yet, but I have been watching the original documentary. Wow! I'm now holding off on watching the Barrymore/Lange movie until I've finished the documentary. I'd love to know what you thought about it if you saw it!

Kate Hudson Celebrates 30

Kate Hudson celebrated her 30th birthday with a big party this weekend! Don't you wish you were Kate's friend? I do...

According to People Magazine:

Noticeably absent? Owen Wilson, the actress's on-again-off-again beau. Not that the party – at the home of Hudson's mom, Goldie Hawn, 63, and her partner Kurt Russell, 58 – lacked for a jaw-dropping roster of A-List guests, including Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Timberlake (though without girlfriend Jessica Biel), Matthew McConaughey, Tobey Maguire, Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin, Gwen Stefani, Eva Mendes, Adam Sandler, Zach Braff – even Cher!

"Kate was elated, dancing all night, having the time of her life – and she looked amazing in a very sexy little dress and [Christian] Louboutin heels," a source tells PEOPLE. "She gave a very touching speech and spoke about how important her family is to her."

So who contributed to getting the crowd into a festive mood? "Justin Timberlake was the life of the party," says the source. "He was dancing, drinking tequila, and he had everyone doing the 'electric slide' on the dance floor."

Another partygoer "was even twirling Kate and Goldie around on dance floor," says the source.

As for the other revelers, "Eva Mendes kept a low profile, hanging out mostly with Zach Braff and Cash Warren in the beginning of night," says the source. "And Adam Sandler came by very briefly to say happy birthday and grab a cupcake, while Cher spent the whole night dancing, of course!"

Easter Celebrity-style

For Easter weekend my kids got to hunt for plastic eggs filled with jelly beans and chocolate eggs. Upon finding the jelly beans they claimed they "hated" them and proceeded to sulk and complain. They were most thrilled with the "jibbitz" they got for the new Crocs that I hadn't even purchased yet and the Wal-Mart bikes we got them. Bikes for Easter? I thought that was pretty good! Then I read about Hollywood power player, Ron Meyer's weekend kiddie party.

According to Janet Charlton, The party was aiming to be "green" - in Hollywood that means no paper plates or cups - only china, silver, and crystal, plus linen table coverings and napkins in pastel colors. All the trees in the driveway and yard were festooned with pastel ribbons. Nearly 500 guests and their kids feasted on custom omelets and waffles, vats of oatmeal with raspberries, bagels, etc. topped off with mountains of Sprinkles cupcakes in pastel colors. Two forty foot long buffets groaned with designer food. The kids ran around and hunted for hundreds of plastic eggs that were hidden all over the beachfront property- they were stuffed with candy, toys and some with cash!

While Suri and Katie hunted for eggs, Tom Cruise played touch football and he was described as "throwing like a girl." Barbra Streisand and James Brolin had a long conversation with Meryl Streep. Also socializing and sipping champagne: Warren and Annette, Goldie and Kurt and Kate Hudson, Tobey McGuire, Leonardo DiCaprio, the Spielbergs, Conan O'Brien, Jamie Foxx, and the Arquettes.

Most of the kids over ten were furiously texting and talking on their cell phones. The best part was the "Petting Zoo" - "it was like Noah's ark." They had baby chicks and ducks, baby pigs, baby goats, two baby ZEBRAS, miniature ponies, a baby kangaroo and a baby camel, and a young chimp.

Before guests departed they were reminded to pick up their individual Easter baskets, which were hanging in the trees labeled with each child's name. The hefty baskets contained MORE STUFF- movies, DVD's iPods, games, gourmet chocolate, toys, stuffed animals - whatever was age appropriate. Wow. And this was a "green" party in the middle of a recession!

Sounds AWESOME, doesn't it? Wish I had one of those Easter baskets...

Owen Wilson + Kate Hudson = ?!

What do you think about Owen Wilson & Kate Hudson being back together AGAIN?!? Right now the twosome is in Paris for the French premiere of Marley & Me. Star Magazine (not very reliable) is reporting that Wilson's family members are worried about him. A source is quoted as saying, "She has him wrapped around her little finger, and he seems powerless to do anything about it."

The pair recently rekindled their on-off romance after they split in May 2007.

Shortly after the 2007 split, Marley & Me star Wilson reportedly attempted suicide.

Kate & Anne: Drinking Buddies

Have you heard the rumors that Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson didn't get along while filming "Bride Wars?" Of course those rumors circulated! But honestly, I MUCH prefer to hear things like this....

Kate Hudson didn't need to hit the gym to get in shape for her new movie Bride Wars - she turned to drink instead.

The You, Me and Dupree star says she had so much fun filming alongside Anne Hathaway they would spend a lot of their evenings together in bars across New York.

She says, "I'm always doing something. I'm either dancing or doing Pilates or biking or running. I'm quite active so I wasn't concerned with losing weight. Just having fun.

"So, for this movie, we were actually doing a lot of drinking. I'm a tequila girl. We like our champagne, though, too."

I think that I can be mean, yeah. Women are a little bit more complicated - I think that all women can really hit you where it hurts.

Paltrow & Martin On The Rocks?

I think Gwyneth and her hubby, Chris Martin, will split eventually. They ALL do, right? But I love how Page Six points to the fact that they haven't been photographed together as "proof" that they're on the skids. He's on tour, she's promoting a movie and they've really never been photographed together! This is a sign? I think the bigger sign is how she's been hanging tight with notorious man-eater, Kate Hudson!

IS Gwyneth Paltrow heading down the same marital path as her pal Madonna?

Paltrow raised eyebrows last weekend when she went to the Victoria's Secret fashion show at the reopened Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach instead of flying to see her rocker husband, Chris Martin, on tour with Coldplay.

One insider said, "Gwyneth flew down privately at the behest of [Fontainebleau Resorts owner] Jeff Soffer." Paltrow and Soffer - a billionaire bachelor who's regarded as Miami royalty - have become very good friends recently, insiders added.

Adding to speculation, Paltrow didn't stay at the hotel with other guests, opting to "stay at a friend's house instead for more privacy," a source reports. While attending the Victoria's Secret party and show, she "remained closed off in a private section and hung out with Soffer and Madonna paramour Alex Rodriguez."

On Friday, Soffer gave Paltrow a private tour of the hotel and then whisked her away in his Bentley. Saturday, she joined him on his yacht with her pal Kate Hudson.

Reports that Martin and Paltrow have been on the rocks for months have circulated in the press as they've refused to be photographed together. One wag snipes, "She spent the summer filming a TV show in Spain with Mario Batali and now, instead of hanging out with her husband, she goes to a Victoria's Secret show? Really? Gwyneth doesn't have anything to do with Victoria's Secret. If things were so great with Chris, why wouldn't she be with him?"

Adding fuel to the fire was the way Paltrow looked in Miami. "She was very, very thin," a witness noted. "She looked stressed out. And she certainly didn't act like a happily married woman."

But a pal of Martin said Paltrow and their children, Apple and Moses, visited Martin on Sunday in Dallas after leaving Miami.

A rep for Martin declined to comment. A rep for Paltrow told us, "Jeff Soffer is a friend of Gwyneth."

Can you just imagine being at Kate Hudson's Halloween Party?! Can you imagine!?

SADLY for Kate Hudson, the men dressed in police uniforms who arrived at her pre-Halloween party around 1 a.m. Sunday morning were real LAPD officers. The cops came to Hudson's Brentwood home to move her party indoors and keep the noise down for the neighbors. A source told us that the single mom "was dressed as a '60s flight attendant" and her son, Ryder Robinson, "was nowhere in sight." Among the guests: Courteney Cox went dressed as a witch with husband David Arquette as a warlock, Winona Ryder was a mouse, Rachel Zoe donned a flapper costume, and Cindy Crawford dolled up as Amy Winehouse. But cowboy-clad Gerard Butler was the main attraction. Our insider reports, "All the girls at the party were lining up to talk to Gerard . . . he left with two very sexy vampires."

Kate Hudson: No Regrets On Divorce

Love, love, love Kate Hudson. In a world full of needy Aniston-types, Kate Hudson is refreshing. She dates who she wants, breaks up and moves on effortlessly. Well, it seems that way at least. And isn't that what Hollywood is all about? How things seem?

Kate Hudson says her 2007 divorce from Chris Robinson was the "best thing that ever happened" to her.

The actress -- who has a four-year-old son with the Black Crowes frontman -- insists the former couple's relationship has improved dramatically since their legal separation in October last year.

She says, "Look - Chris and I are still basically living together! We've figured it out. I mean, obviously, nothing's perfect, but I could never look at our divorce as a mistake. If anything, it's the best thing that ever happened to us."

The Fools Gold star, 29, recently revealed she doesn't regret forsaking her partying years to have a child.

She said, "Am I going to look back and say, 'God, I wish I could have gone to that concert?' I'd rather be listening to my son sing songs. I'd rather be watching him sleep."

Kate -- who has previously dated Lance Armstrong, Owen Wilson and Dax Shepard -- also admitted she's still hoping to find her soul mate.

She added, "Every girl wants a fairy-tale ending. And I believe it's possible. Absolutely."

Page Six hasn't been too reliable lately, so I'm a little skeptical that the Hudson/Armstrong romance it truly over. However, given their track records - I don't think anyone thought this one was going to last.

SUMMER lovin' between Lance Armstrong and Kate Hudson is over. Sources said they tried to make it work, but the constant bickering and their travel schedules drove them apart. Hudson made a last-ditch effort last week, traveling to see her beau in Ohio for his Livestrong Summit, but "they both decided it wasn't feasible," a friend said. Another spy said the couple had a big blowout a week ago and Armstrong stormed off - "They didn't talk for like five days." Their reps didn't return calls.

Owen Wilson's romance with Kate Hudson finally seems to be over for good, and no one is happier that Owen's best friend Woody Harrelson! According to an acquaintance, Woody and Kate NEVER got along, but they put their differences aside for Owen's sale. (Actually it often happens that best buddies don't like their pal's significant others.) Woody is relieved that Kate is out of the picture- he never thought she was the right girl for Owen.

It actually makes me happy when I hear stuff like this. It's only fair!

BICYCLING champ Lance Armstrong had some trouble impressing new gal pal Kate Hudson the other night. Armstrong - strangely unaware of the reservation system at legendarily restrictive Rao's, where regulars have their own tables and everyone else must wait months - thought he and Hudson might be able to walk into the East 114th Street eatery and be served. But he was out of luck, a spy reports. The managers apologized, but Armstrong and Hudson left hungry, searching for another restaurant.

Owen Wilson Partying Away The Blues

Do people really think Owen Wilson tried to kill himself over Kate Hudson?! Come on! Wilson was all fucked up on heroin. Isn't THAT why he tried to kill himself? He and Kate had broken up long before his "incident."


OWEN Wilson has handled his latest bust-up with Kate Hudson a lot better this time around - by immersing himself in blondes, boobs and beer.

Last August, the Butterscotch Stallion, depressed and despondent, reportedly tried to commit suicide after he and Hudson called it quits. But after the on-again, off-again lovebirds broke up this month for the second time, Wilson merely headed straight for a Philadelphia strip club last Thursday and partied with a topless Hudson look-alike, sources tell Page Six.

"He spent 41/2 hours at Rick's Cabaret and was in an upbeat mood," one spy said. "He watched the Flyers game, drank beer, and when a parade of 75 half-naked girls caught his eye, he asked for dances from several and definitely had a preference for blondes. He tipped at least one with a $100 bill."

Later, a luscious blonde who resembled Hudson spent some private time with Wilson in a VIP suite. "If he had any problems, you'd never know it. He didn't seem upset in the least," the buxom look-alike told us. "People tell me I look like Kate, and it didn't bother him at all." Another stacked dancer had a slightly different take. "He seemed to have other things on his mind. Usually, my 36D boobs can hypnotize anyone - but his mind was elsewhere," she said.

Wilson, in Philly shooting "Marley & Me," stayed till closing time at 2 a.m. His rep, Ina Treciokas, didn't respond to our call or e-mail.

Hudson, meanwhile, isn't letting any grass grow under her feet. On the same night, she and Lance Armstrong were spotted at the after-party for Kid Rock's Madison Square Garden show at Wildwood Barbeque. The cozy pair was also seen over the weekend in Texas, where they dined together twice in Austin. "They looked like they were having fun," a source told People.

Neither of them have a great track record - but somehow the pairing of Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong seems brilliant to me! They've been "quietly dating" for a few weeks now and just went public in Austin this weekend. Apparently the new couple had a romantic Friday night dinner at Eddie V's followed by a Saturday outing to the Hula Hut with Lance's kids!

I'm glad the Owen thing is over for Kate. I hope she has fun with Lance.

Owen Wilson & Kate Hudson: Take Two

Soooo....yeah. Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson are back together. I keep trying to care. And I really don't want to talk about Kate Hudson until she makes a decent movie - but that could be a lifetime of waiting! Argh! Remember her in "Almost Famous?" I LOVED her in that! She was nominated for an Academy Award! And now she's makes multiple movies with Matthew McConaughey. Not quite living up to the promise, is she?

Oh well! Now she's going out with Owen again. Owen - who may or may not have tried to kill himself over her. Or over heroin. Or over heroin and Kate. With all of that - you would think I would care about these two! Do you?


Things keep getting sunnier for Owen Wilson.

Kate Hudson left Miami Wednesday after a cozy week of under-the-radar canoodling with the actor, who is in town shooting "Marley and Me" with Jennifer Aniston.

Although they successfully avoided the paparazzi, a pal tells us they enjoyed alone time at night at Wilson's Star Island bachelor pad. "They rekindled things over Oscar weekend at Madonna's big bash, and their schedules happened to sync perfectly for a Miami trip," the friend tells us.

Kate and her baby boy, Ryder, stayed at the Raleigh Hotel, while she also promoted her Glamour Reel Moments film (a series of shorts), "Cutlass."

By day, Kate and Ryder played in the swimming pool. She dined with girlfriends, including Demi Moore, at Casa Tua on Sunday before changing clothes and visiting Owen late each night.
