Do You Twitter?

Photobucket
Are you on Twitter? I entered into the Twitter-nation reluctantly, but it was a great way to send updates during The Grammy's and I learned to like it. At the most basic level it's like Facebook status updates on crack. Certainly I haven't learned all of the ins and outs of Twitter, but I really like the idea of being able to follow different celebs, so I've been trying to make it a part of my day.

After adding about every celeb on Twitter I sat back and started to watch the updates come in. What I found was shocking. I know I shouldn't have been shocked, but I was. Fist of all, I can't believe how many of them NEVER sleep. Mariah Carey goes to bed at like 6am, Ashton Kutcher is always updating in the middle of the night. I've also been dismayed to realize that alot of them are....really dumb.

By far the worst Twitter offender is P. Diddy. Here is a sample of some of his recent Twitter updates:

I will be great today!!! And so will you!!! Let's go people!!!!!

On your mark Get set Let's go people!!!!!!

Ok people we are gonna effect the universe rt now!!! Call 3 people you love and tell them you love them!!!! I love u u an u!!! Let's go!!!

THE DIDDY CODE!!! "When you are chasing your dream leave your ego at home!!!" (Oh yeah, RIGHT! I don't believe this from him. Not for a minute!)

I aint gonna lie. Yall gonna have helped me get my swag back!!!! Thank you people! Puff daddy is BACK! It feels good to be back!!!

@iamdiddy is all about inspiring us to be the best we can be. Is it just me or is this annoying as hell?

I don't need inspirational thoughts from a C-list rapper. I prefer my Twitter light. Lovin' Rob Corddry's Twitter updates:

Oh crap. That drug deal just went REALLY wrong. Now I have to cut up a body. Great way to start a weekend!

I do not like the new iPod Shuffle. I'm going to buy it just so I can punch it in the face.

Well that was an eye-stabbing conference call! Off to go rinse the corporate-speak out of my mouth!

Putting an infant to sleep is hard, unless you have "Jingle Bells" sung using only "shhh" in your repertoire. Baby Ambien

My favorite Rob Corddry Twitter update:
Can't take it anymore!!!! Corddry out!!! Unfollow!!!! RT @iamdiddy: I will be great today!!! And so will you!!! Let's go people!!!!!

As much as I hate to admit it, I don't mind John Mayer's updates. At least he can form a complete sentence! I find Ashton & Demi's boring, but not offensive. Love Russell Brand's updates.

All in all, I still like Twitter and I'm committed to continuing to figure it out. But, I dunno.... if I were a celeb I'd be careful. If they can't say something worthwhile, maybe they should just skip it. Are you listening @emmyrossum?!

RIP Biggie: Still Representing

Is it commonly known that I LOVE Notorious BIG? I do. My blackberry ringtone is "Big Poppa." Diddy performed at tonight and I loved it.

Quick Recap: Clive Davis Party

OMG - Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Gala was EVERYTHING I had hoped it would be! Prince, Sly Stone, Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Puffy, Whitney, J Hud, Barry Manilow, Miley, Taylor Swift, The Jonas Bros, Rod Stewart....too many to name right now (it's 2:30AM). I spoke to Taylor - told her that I had seen rehearsals today and that she sounded great. She touched my arm and said, "Oh, aren't you sweet? Thank you so much!" Got my pic with Sly. Sly!!! Living legend.

Funniest moment of the night was when John Stamos was stopped by a woman for a pic. He happily obliged (and then proceeded to fall up the stairs) and when the woman walked away she said to her date, "Oh my God - he was SO drunk!!" Apparently Mr. Stamos is often drunk at these events. He was dressed like a Jonas Brother - but seriously, despite all of that, I must say....still kinda hot.

Mariah Carey A Spoiled Brat

I'm not at all surprised by celebs behaving badly. However sometimes I am struck by just HOW important they think they are. Mariah Carey thought she would be SITTING WITH THE FAMILY?! Seriously? Come ON!

SOME divas cling to their high-maintenance ways even at moments of historic national import. Mariah Carey, who performed at the Neighborhood Ball for President and Michelle Obama, was "furious" when she found out where she'd be seated for the inauguration. A spy said, "Mariah was in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated. But somehow she thought she'd be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn't, she bailed." Meanwhile, Carey ex Sean Combs is said to be upset that he wasn't invited to perform at official events and disappointed that Jay-Z had a bigger presence. A rep for Carey declined to comment. Combs' rep said, "It was one of the greatest moments of his life. Sean was invited to the inauguration and was seated third row, with Jay-Z, at the ceremony."

Diddy Diddy Everywhere!

Oh Puffy, how you've fallen. The former A-lister now practically C-Lister sure is everywhere right now. Playing with his kids. Playing with Cameron Diaz. What, what?! Cameron Diaz?! What in the hell is she doing with Puffy Diddy?!

Careful opening that door! Cameron Diaz and Diddy could be behind it.

The actress and the hip-hop/fashion mogul certainly have become cozy - and fond of playing hide and seek.

Back in March, they had dinner in L.A., and, for some reason, felt it necessary to leave separately through the restaurant's kitchen. Last month, they were looking very affectionate in SoHo's Sub-Mercer lounge. According to witnesses, the pair disappeared into a private room for about 20 minutes while a guard stood outside the door.

Diaz had a big hug for Mr. Combs at the Beverly Hills party he threw last month to celebrate his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. More telling was their intimacy at Prince's house last Friday.

Sly Stallone, John Legend, Eddie Murphy, Babyface and other guests were riveted by the 2 1/2-hour backyard concert the funkster gave to launch his book, "21 Days." But Diaz and Diddy seemed only to have eyes for each other.

During the show, they laughed and held hands. At one point, while Diddy sipped a Grey Goose, Cameron told him he "must" try her bread pudding, which she proceeded to spoon-feed him. After some whispering, Diddy nodded toward Prince's mansion.

Once inside, he led Diaz by the hand through its labyrinthine corridors to Prince's basement. That's where we came upon the entranced twosome standing in the theater's doorway. Diddy was bringing his lips toward hers when he realized someone was approaching. Smiling, they closed the theater's door and locked it. We heard them giggling inside.

Diddy said he and Diaz did not go into a private room at the Sub-Mercer, adding, "It is ridiculous that two celebrities of the opposite sex can't just hang out with a group of friends without it being reported as more than that. We are just friends.”

Diaz's rep had no immediate comment, but the actress recently told InStyle that she loved dating again after her breakup with Justin Timberlake, "Men are the best!" she proclaimed. "Sex is the best!" Diddy - whose mantra is "Preserve the sexy!" - couldn't argue with that.
