The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that a Buckingham Palace insider has dished that Queen Elizabeth was "very much taken" with President and Mrs. Obama this week.
''Queen Elizabeth herself was insistent the statement be released about there being no 'breach of protocol' regarding Michelle Obama putting her arm around Her Majesty,'' said the palace staff member. ''She was very much taken by the Obamas ... enchanted by Mrs. Obama, and hopes the first lady joins her circle of regular correspondents.''
• Though the British monarch ''had assumed her final U.S. visit would be the one last year, the queen now is interested in again returning to the White House while the Obamas are in residence.''
• Though Prince Philip has been known to express some racist remarks in the past, he apparently didn't let any of that show Wednesday. ''Mrs. Obama really charmed him too,'' said my source.
