OMG. I can guarantee you that Gwyneth isn't feeling MY pain in shedding weight. So she gained a couple of pounds over the holidays. I wonder how much? 4lbs? *gasp* 6?! I have 10 days to lose 10 lbs. Can I do it?! I'll keep you posted. I am drinking LOTS of water, as Gwynnie suggests. If you guys have any more tips - let me know!
Gwyneth Paltrow is planning to detox in a bid to lose the weight she gained over Christmas.
The Two Lovers star - who is married to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin - is gearing up to "kickstart my year a bit lighter" and has banished dairy, gluten, meat, shellfish, all processed food, fatty nuts, potatoes and other related vegetables, condiments, sugar, alcohol, caffeine or fizzy drinks from her diet.
In the most recent email from her GOOP.com website, Gwyneth wrote: "I need to lose a few pounds of holiday excess. I will be suffering along with you to kickstart my year a bit lighter - good luck to us all!
"You can detox easily and effectively while you continue to eat as long as you are cutting out the foods and other substances that interfere with the detoxification process.
"As I do not wish to subsist on lemon water in the middle of winter, I asked my doctor, a detox diet specialist, for guidelines. Make sure you check with your doctor before you start any detox. Drink A LOT of water."(Source: Showbiz Spy)

Tips, tips, tips...
Ok, water is good, stay hydrated...
...for occasional hunger pangs have a handful of almonds, low in calories, high in protein, fills you up surprisingly well...
...split your meals up so you're eating 6 times a day, at least cutting your main meals back and snacking healthy in the betweens - your body is like a furnace burning food, too much time and it doesn't keep up as well and isn't as efficient, keep that up and you'll burn more off...
...cardio is key so get up and moving as much as possible and you can cut the carbs out about 5 days ahead to tighten up as much as possible...
...I know it doesn't look it but I used to be in shape. :)
Those are all such great tips. I have been doing the almonds thing and water, water, water. I've lost 7lbs so far! I would like to lose another 8 before The Grammy's. I think I can...I think I can...
