I had to go to the mall yesterday. I was driving into the parking lot and some guy starts honking at me. I flipped him off. Oops. Happy Holidays!
I found out 2 days ago that my dad has, as he calls it, "The Big C" again. This is the 3rd time he's had cancer since he was 18. We're confident he'll be ok, but still. Happy Holidays.
My husband found the one gift I got him for Christmas. Happy Holidays!
When I was growing up my parents had these crazy friends. It was the 70's and it seemed like I was always going along with them to people's houses while they boozed it up. One year at Christmastime we were at Patti and Denny's house. Their son turned off the Christmas tunes to play some of his music. His dad's reaction? "You turn it back to the f&cking Christmas music, damnit!" Happy Holidays!
Suffice it to say, I'm not feeling the spirit of the season. So, let's have a contest! Send me your favorite holiday memory, picture or funny story. Email me at nikkibgoss@gmail.com or leave your entry in the comments section here. I'll choose the three I like the best and then let you guys choose the winner. You have until DECEMBER 30th to enter! I'll announce the winner on New Year's Day.
The winner will get a hodge podge of goodies including my new favorite lipgloss from Laura Mercier, Stila eyeshadow, an ornament, Chelsea Handler's Are You There Vodka, It's Me, Chelsea and several other GREAT prizes. I'll tell you more about them as the week unfolds.

One Christmas when I was younger, my parents would celebrate the holidays with their friends. Well one year, their friend got so pissed-drunk that he passed out. What did my parents do? Did they tuck him into bed....did they call a taxi to get him home...? NO! The pulled down his pants and hung his naked butt off the balconey. He exposed himself to the whole neighbourhood. Needless to say, that was a Christmas we'll never forget, but I bet the friend wishes he could.
My Grandmother's last Christmas with us will always hold a special place in my heart for obvious reasons! However there is a funny story to go with it too... My Grandmother was suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and it was really getting longer in between moments of lucidity. She still insisted on buying all 9 of her grandchildren Christmas gifts by herself. Her companion took her out one afternoon and they went Christmas shopping. Well, on Christmas Eve we all got our presents... the 5 girls got banjos and the 4 boys got drums. All from the kids section of the DOLLAR STORE! LMAO. Let me add to this I was 27 years old at the time - we were all adults! I guess she happened to be stuck in past the day she went shopping for all of us.
Happy Holidays Nikki!!!
My husband's grandmother loves to travel... so she hates to spend money on real gifts for anyone. She always buys our gifts from the dollar store. Again, it's not that she doesn't have the money because she does have money, she would just rather spend it on a trip to China LOL Two years for Christmas she gave all of the women in the family a big package of ... wrapping paper for our Christmas gifts! Yes, that's right, we each received six rolls of Christmas wrapping paper and coordinating tags and bows for our Christmas gifts. Gotta love her!
LOL@ all of your Christmas stories!!
Im so sorry that your family is dealing with this again Nikki. *Big Hugs*
So we got this present one year from my BIL and SIL. We opened it, and it was in a box with the picture of a combo battery powered TV, radio and flashlight. I thought 'this is an interesting gift...okie dokie'. Well, a yr later...right before Christmas...we had a really big ice storm, and we lost power for a wk....Livi was only a few months old. I said to Chris, 'oh, remember that present your brother got us last yr, go get it...I never thought that would be such a good present'. Well, he made his way to the attic to get the box. He checked the side of it, and it called for D batteries, so he ran out and bought a several packs of batteries to fit. Got home, opened the box...SURPRISE...it was NOT what was pictured on the box! It was a nice blanket with our names on it....LOL What a suprise!!! It was a nice gift, but not what we were so excited about considering our current situation. Oh well, we used it non the less...it was COLD!!!!
Moral of the story, never judge a 'box'(or present) by it's cover!!!!
Merry Christmas!

So maybe I didnt read the directions right and I just emailed my entry. Id love to see a pic of Michelle and her banjo! Hilarious!
So every year my GF's get together and do a gift exchange because we can't all buy gifts for the 10 of us, ya know.
So one year my BF was running a tad late..okay like an hour late and the rest of assumed she was going to be a no show so we went ahead and picked our numbers, did our exchange...and then low and behold the phone rings. Guess who is on her way now in like 15 minutes! So we re-wrapped all the gifts back and put them in the center of the room (all the while we are video tapping the whole thing) She finally shows up and we do the "real gift exchange". Everyone went home happy...
The following year we let my BF watch the whole thing on video and I think at least two of us pee'd our pants from laughing so hard.
