What a whirlwind trip this has been! I'm going to let you in on a little secret - I wasn't very excited to come to China. I wasn't going to pass it up - but I can't say I was necessarily looking forward to it. Well, I can say for a certainty that I'm not even gone yet and I'm already excited to come back!
Yesterday Craig and I went to the 798 Art District. It was so cool. Fun to see the hip Chinese scene. There was SO much to see. Loved it! We didn't buy any art, but I did get some jewelry. Last night we went to the Women's Gymnastics qualifications. I have to admit it was a little boring for us. Plus it was pouring out rain and we got drenched. At least it wasn't hot, though!
We went to The Great Wall today and spent ALL DAY with Scott Hamilton and his wife! How 'bout that? They're both so nice, so cute. They live in Nashville now so there was talk about Nicole Kidman. They don't know her personally (yet), but have mutual friends. They said all reports are that she's very, very nice. Another woman at lunch with us knows Nicole! Knew her back when she was married to Tom Cruise-Crazy! She said that what has interesting back then is that she never saw them together. Would see Nicole one night, then Tom the next with "different guys from whatever movie he was working on. You know, like Best Boys and Producers." She didn't have to wink for me to catch the "wink-wink" of what she was talking about!
We're leaving tomorrow afternoon! I'm going to give you a full re-cap from my trip when I get home and then get back to our gossip!!

Great pics Nikki. So after spending time with Scott Hamilton, does Craig believe you that his name is not Hammil? LOL. Glad to read you're staying safe. Saw the news of the attack and immediately thought of ya'll.
Sounds hellaciously exciting! I can't do heights so half of that awesome stuff I will never even attempt, but hey, low stuff I'm all over. Glad you're having a good time. It's exciting to be immersed in a culture so very different from our own.

Love Scott Hamilton. He did a movie about ice skating where he played a judge and it was so funny. I am glad your having fun cannot wait to hear more.
