Can I take this moment to exclaim:
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I'm leaving for Beijing tomorrow morning. And I stil haven't even STARTED packing. I've been concentrating on what my husband calls my "media strategy" for the 13+ hour flight. Here are some of the DVD's I got:
Seasons 1 & 2 of WEEDS
Mean Girls
American History X
Junebug
The Godfather
Can you believe I've never seen The Godfather? I've built it up into such an important event in my life that I've waited, thinking, "I can't just waste it on a random Friday night!" So I guess flying to China is as good a time as any!
I read yesterday that Al Pacino was at a Color Me Mine pottery painting studio over the weekend. What?! *I* go to Color Me Mine with my kids! I just can't see Michael Corleone there painting a dog bowl. I painted a vase the last time I was there. It turned out so embarrassingly awful that I've now vowed to go sometime without my kids and paint something REALLY good. Maybe I'll give it away here? HA!
I've been doing some research and it looks like Blogger.com IS accessible from China right now. I'm hoping that no matter what I'll at the very least be able to email Karey reports and she can post them here.
I'll be doing a little blogging today, but tomorrow will be slow. Either come and read some of the older posts (it's kind of fun, lol) or check back on Thursday!
xoxo

I'm so excited you are going Nikki!!! I can't wait to hear all your reports.
Were you ever able to get Gossip Girl on your computer?
I don't think I've ever heard you say that you are into these types of books but if you like mystery/crime, check out Sue Grafton's alphabet series (A is for Alibi, B is for Burglar, etc) ~ it's about a woman PI. Really fun to read and goes by fast. You can actually get the hardbooks with 3 books on it.
Click here for the first one.
I am so incredibly excited for you!! I can't wait to get all the scoop.
I can not believe you have never watched the Godfather. That would have been considered a sin in my house growing up. lol. I must have watched it a million times! I hope you love it.
Safe travels to you and the hubby!
I know this is going to be a great trip for you and Craig!!!! I can't wait to see lots of pics and hear all about your experience there! BE SAFE!!!!
XOXO

Truth be told, I've never seen the Godfather either, maybe someday. Have a safe trip, and I can't wait to read what your trip's like. I hope it goes smoothly for you!
The Godfather is a sound choice - excellent flick (although Chinatown with Jack Nicholson is uber good too).
I'd give you a book recommendation but I think mine are way out there for most folks. Although old school pulp stories are great for a quick fix. Mickey Spillane wrote great stuff all the way up to his death a few years back.
Scrotorr - the more I know you the more I wonder if this isn't really my husband using an alias here! ;-)
