Big Mac Attack!!

I LOVE me a Big Mac. Seriously, I eat one about once every month or two. I even got a high five from some construction dude once when he saw me biting into one. He said, "A Big Mac! I like your style little lady." Eating Big Macs is old school, ya know. And NOW I can take my love of the Big Mac and that chant that still goes thru my head and make a video that could be seen by millions! Imagine - my love of Big Macs could make me famous!!

All of my girlfriends are coming this weekend. Girls, what do you think? Should we make our own video? I want everyone to practice on the plane:

"Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun."

Quick--what follows "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" Okay, how about reciting another of Shakespeare's popular sonnets, the one he might have written while working as a copywriter at DDB: the doggerel to McDonald's Big Mac that begins "Two all-beef patties, special sauce ... ?"

Fans of McDonald's--as well as just about every human alive since the '70s--will certainly know the rest of that chant. Now, to celebrate Big Mac's 40th, McDonald's is launching a consumer-content campaign on MySpace.com/BigMacChant to get consumers to do remixes of the famous burger madrigal, introduced in 1974.

The winning remix will be part of a McDonald's Big Mac TV ad to air at the end of July.

I've got 6 hours to get it right, that's if the husband doesn't kick my ass out somewhere near Terre Haute. (seriously I have no idea if that is even on the way, I wanted to say Indy but that is to obvious).

Yes, a Big Mac every now and then does a person good. All the McDonald's in my area just got done running a deal of buy one Big Mac get the second for 10 cents. Can't beat that.

But then again...... every now and then...... I dream about White Castle!
