American Idol - The Guys

OMG, I can't believe how much I'm disagreeing with them. Even Simon, who I normally agree with! So far I've seen Michael Johns and Jason Castro. I think they're both pretty hot. I liked 'em both. Agree the dreads kid needs to lose the guitar next week, but I didn't hate him.

Luke Menard is a creepy dude. Seeing the clip explains it all! He's the "cute lead singer guy" in something like a Christian rock band. Lame-o. He's awful. Simon is spot-on. Whew! All is right in my world again - Simon and I are back on track.

Robbie Carrico - he didn't understand what Simon was saying at all last week. He still sounds pop. No matter how high he tries to look. You just watch - dude'll bust out a beat box before the end of the season. lol Randy and I agree. Wow. This may be a bad sign for me. Oh Paula. You can tell he wants to kick their asses as they're talking to him. He just wants to hear from Simon. Hmmm on Simon.

Danny Noriega. Dude. Are you serious? It's just Too. Much. Ok, I admit that I typed this before he has even performed. Let him prove me wrong....

I just can't get over that when I look at Danny Noriega I see a girl no matter that I know she's a boy! But I'll admit - she has a lovely voice and I love this song! Can I just call him "her?" I think I could like Danny Noriega then. That's it! I'll only call this person, Danny Noriega! Danny Noriega sang well enough and handled the judges well. God bless, I might like Danny Noriega.

David Hernandez. Oh David. I can absolutely see you in gymnastics. Clearly. In fact, I'll bet you did a floor routine to this song once. I guess he's a good singer - but...still. I'm left picturing the floor routine, not his singing.

Post judges reaction: is the fact that I'm blogging about this giving me a weird sense of power? I hardly ever disagree with Simon. I think I need to step off! haha

Jason Yaeger. This kid is like the one man band guy in some bar at Spring Break. Like, he works for the hotel. He gets LOTS of chicks - but that's all he'll ever be.

Chikezie! I'm so glad he did well tonight. He's so likeable!

David Cook. Simon was so right about the beginning clip doing him no favors. Worse - his reaction to Simon's critisicm. This guy is a "cool nerd." He thinks he's cool, but we know he's a nerd.

David Archuleta - he's great. I can't imagine him not winning the whole thing at this point. But come on, am I the ONLY one who gets a bit of the "creepy child star" vibe from him? But then I think - welllllll.....Justin Timberlake WAS a Mouseketeer. So, I'm going to hold off on holding this against David. He's cute. I cried a little.
