The Smith Family Business

It's disturbing to me that Will & Jada are getting their very young children into the business. WHY?! When you look at what happens to most child actors, how could you ever want that for your kids? If they truly have a passion for it, they'll still have it when they're old enough to deal with the pressures. Why on earth would they be letting their kids do this?

WILL Smith is making acting the family profession. His son, Jaden, 9, starred in "The Pursuit of Happyness" with him, and now his daughter, Willow, 7, is taking center stage opposite Abigail Breslin in the family-friendly summer flick "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl." There might be rivalry between father and daughter. Will's "Hancock" opens wide on July 2, the same day as Willow's "Kit Kittredge." But he's cutting junkets for "Hancock" short tomorrow to join Willow at her premiere at the Ziegfeld.
