LMAO! I love that Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes' cold sores are a story! As much as I would love to lay the blame on ol' Tom Cruise, I think Katie is a longtime sufferer from the oral affliction...

THE women in Tom Cruise's life seem to have the gift that keeps on giving. In the past week, both Cruise's ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, and his current one, Katie Holmes (above), have been photographed with cold sores on their lips. Cold sores, also known as oral herpes or herpes labialis, are transmitted very easily from one kisser to another. Reps for Cruise, Kidman and Holmes didn't return e-mails.

Tom Cruise Holds The Crazy In
Uncomfortable! I was so uncomfortable watching this! But it was a much-needed sit down in order to solidify his comeback.

Tom Cruise....Fascinating?
Did you see the 5 minute promo Barbara Walters did for Tom Cruise's not-so-much anticipated movie, Valkyrie, last night on her Most Fascinating People special? Tom Cruise fascinating? Whatever. Tom Cruise is so far from fascinating these days. Maybe in a couple of years if his Ben Stiller aided "comeback" happens, but this year? Nah.
Katie Holmes isn't fascinating either. Altho I did read a story in Star Magazine about Tom making her cut her hair and that she was really upset about it. Do you think Tom made her cut her hair?
Tom Cruise admits it was love at first sight when he first clapped eyes on his now-wife Katie Holmes.
"I knew I wanted to marry Kate when I met her," the actor, 46, says in the Dec. 7 issue of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, in which he and Holmes appear on split covers for the Holiday/Reinvention issue.
When Holmes confessed to him that she dreamed of marrying him as a little girl, "I said I wouldn't want to disappoint her," Cruise says. "At one point, I thought she was going to ask me to marry her first and I put her off by changing the subject. I wanted to ask her."
In a separate interview, former Dawson's Creek star Holmes, 29, admits she also was "completely in love" after their first meeting.
"He was so warm, and I thought, 'Wow,'" says Katie - who is currently appearing on Broadway in the Arthur Miller play All My Sons. "I thought, 'You can be a superstar and a human being.'"

Kidman Talks Cruise
Why is it that everytime Nicole Kidman has a movie coming out she talks about Tom Cruise? Maybe she just wants to remind us that HE is crazier than SHE is.
NICOLE Kidman says she made it a point to be a silent partner during her doomed marriage to Tom Cruise. "I felt I became a star only by association. I didn't think [my early movies] were very good, which is why I would always cower in the background," the flame-haired Academy Award winner tells Glamour. "I thought, I don't deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars, and I would think, I'm here to support him. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and to be seen and not heard."

Light Loafers: Will Smith
I'm always surprised when people are *shocked* to find out that a celeb is rumored to be gay. Rumors have swirled around Will Smith and Jada Pinkett forEVER! Do you believe? Are you shocked? Are you convinced? Do you care?
IUC has learned actor Will Smith has swung both ways for years. According to a notorious Hollywood Madame, Smith was a client of hers for years before she packed up shop and moved her operation to Manhattan earlier this year. She remembers the first time she ever spoke with Smith. “I had to reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion,” she said. “Once I convinced him I could, he placed his order. It was for a man. I had 14 women working for me and two guys. You’d be surprised at how many Hollywood stars requested the services of the guys.”

Suri Cruise Lonely?
I've never seen Suri playing with other kids, but it doesn't mean she's not! When my kids were 2 they would run up and hug other kids, too. I don't think it "means" anything.
POOR Suri Cruise. The 2-year-old daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise doesn't seem to get much playtime with other toddlers. A local spy who's seen Suri around other children says, "Whenever she sees kids, she gets excited and runs up to them and hugs them as if she never gets to see kids her own age. There's not a lot of socialization there." Indeed, almost every day there are different shots of Suri with her mother - always shopping and always alone.

Cruise Clan Bestows Gifts Upon Sunday
Gosh, isn't it nice that Nicole Kidman's children acknowledged the birth of their new sister? (Seriously, wtf?)
The Cruise family has sent along a present to welcome little Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, PEOPLE has learned.
Contrary to some reports that Tom Cruise gave ex-wife Nicole Kidman a "room full of flowers," the actor and his family – including Cruise's children with Kidman, Bella, 15, and Connor, 13 – actually sent a huge baby basket to Nashville.
The high-end gift included chenille Giraffe baby blankets, items from the Hermes baby line and other newborn necessities.
Kidman, 41, gave birth to Sunday Rose at a Nashville hospital on Monday morning, with husband Keith Urban, 40, by her side for the smooth delivery.
"We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl," the happy couple said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. "She's an absolute delight."

Tom Cruise Crazy Still Creepy
Ugh. I know TCC is working really hard on that comeback, but why does it have to be so creepy? Looks like everyone was really excited to be at his big housewarming bash this weekend, doesn't it? Here are some of the arrivals:
Oprah & Gayle King
Rita Wilson
Brooke Shields
And I share Laineygossip.com's curiousity - where is John Travolta? Why don't the two Scientology bigwigs hang out? Love Lainey's take on it.
Interestingly enough… but not that surprising… you will note John Travolta does not appear to have been there. In fact, the two, despite being the most identifiable figures in the worship of Xenu, seldom seem to associate. Am dying to know the smutty reason for it.
Is it bad blood between two old lovers? Or does the GMD not respect John’s weakness? The GMD of course has achieved top Thetan level self restraint, successfully suppressing all his sequined desires. Someone like the GMD, who has managed to squeeze his gay into the most remote, the most hidden, the most inaccessible parts of his soul naturally would look down on John Travolta and his homo relapses every few months or so on the massage table. As such, their meetings are likely reserved only for Xenu high holidays a couple times a year. Or at least until John can get a handle on his homo.
Love it!
THE guest list to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' weekend housewarming party read like a "people who I need to suck up to" list. One attendee said, "Everyone he's been having issues with was invited: Sumner Redstone, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, you name it. Then there were all the gays, which was hilarious because Scientology 'cures' gays . . . There's a tenet in Scientology that basically says, 'After you cut people off, you have to invite them back in.' Especially if your career's in trouble, I guess."

Tom Cruise Gives Posh Spanking
I wonder if this is true? I think it could at least be somewhat true. What do you think?
Tom Cruise has told wife Katie Holmes that she can be friends with Victoria Beckham -- as long as the pair don't swap diet tips.
According to a source close to Victoria, the former Spice Girl is delighted her friendship with the former Dawson's Creek star is back on track, but is heeding the warning from Holmes' possessive husband.
Tom reportedly pulled Victoria to one side during a recent chance meeting at a Los Angeles restaurant, and explained why he had ordered Katie to keep her distance.
The source said, "Tom told Posh he was worried how thin Katie was getting, especially as they want to start trying for another baby soon.
"Tom was firm, but polite. He said that, although he understood Posh thought she was only trying to help Katie lose weight after Suri's birth, he didn't want her swapping more diet tips with Katie in the future."
The source also revealed Tom thought Katie was becoming obsessed with her diet and overdoing it with the exercise -- a side of his wife he has never seen before. The 'Top Gun' star apparently believes that if the pair stop talking diets, Katie will put on weight.
"Posh was gracious," the source tells British magazine Closer. "She just wants to hang out with Katie again. When Katie stopped returning her calls and invites, Posh was genuinely upset. She wondered what she had done wrong, and didn't know what to do about it.
"She asked her husband David for advice and even confided in Eva Longoria. Eva just told her to 'keep being herself,' and that whatever was bugging Katie would blow over.
"None of them knew it was Tom's concerns for Katie's health that was behind it all."
And now Beckham is trying her best not to discuss calories around Katie.
Adds the source, "She hasn't mentioned food and diet once around Katie since then.
"And when they've been out for meals together, she's made a real effort not to comment on what everyone's eating and to try to order more food for herself -- even if she doesn't touch it once it's on her plate."

Kidman Confirms Estrangement From Kids?
It's just as we guessed. Nicole Kidman is talking publicly about the estrangement between her and her children. Will Tom respond to her allegations? WHAT will he say?!?!
Nicole Kidman has launched a scathing attack on ex-husband Tom Cruise — accusing the actor of “manipulating” their adopted children.
The actress, who’s expecting her first biological children with current husband Keith Urban, says Cruise — who she divorced in 2001 — has turned their adopted kids Isabella and Connor against her.
She says, “It’s a pity they have been manipulated by the father to distance themselves from me.”
The ‘Stepford Wives’ star, 40, also said that she missed the two children and felt sad that they were apart.
She said she tried to arrange a Mother’s Day visit but the kids ended up spending it with Tom and his wife Katie Holmes.
“They are closer to their new mom now,” she admitted. (Source: Showbiz Spy)

Tom Cruise Crazy: Reborn?

Tom Cruise is gearing up for a big comeback. Alot has been said about his "Oprah" ratings (low) - but you have to remember that the first part aired on a Friday. Friday ratings are always low.
However, with the help of Ben Stiller - TCC might just have a comeback in him. Tom is playing a role in the highly anticipated summer movie "Tropic Thunder."
Entertainment Weekly has a great article talking about Tom and his future. In it they say:
''After everyone sees this movie they are going to have a different opinion [of Tom],'' predicts one insider. ''They'll consider him for parts they wouldn't have before.'' According to industry sources, the actor knows it. He's already told his agents at CAA to seek out funny scripts, he met with Judd Apatow on the set of Knocked Up, and he's still signed to star opposite Stiller in the long-gestating buddy comedy Hardy Men. ''[That] would make a lot of sense,'' says one insider. ''It's a lot easier for people to like you when you create a likable, charming role.''"

Interesting Read

The NY Daily News did a piece on Tom Cruise's interview with Oprah on Friday. Since I couldn't have put it better myself, I'll just send you to the article.
I thought that the promo for Monday's showed a better Tom. We'll see!

Tom Cruise Crazy on Oprah
I totally forgot Tom Cruise Crazy was going to be on Oprah today! So I missed it. But never fear! They rerun it at 11:00pm here in Chicago and my TiVo is set to record! In the meantime, I found this online and it's just as I expected. Tom Cruise spends an hour trying to take the "Crazy" out of his name. Has he succeeded?
What did you think of the interview? I'll share more of my thoughts after I've seen it.
Tom Cruise opened up to Oprah Winfrey during the first part of his interview with the chat show queen — due to air Friday — and revealed he infamously jumped on her sofa in 2005 because he was so in love with his then girlfriend (now wife) Katie Holmes and couldn’t contain himself.
Winfrey, herself, confessed the incident took her by surprise.
“When we finished that show with you jumping up on the sofa, I was like, ‘Wow. What was that?’” she tells the Top Gun star in an interview which took place in his Telluride, Colo., home. “I had no idea it was going to turn into an international brouhaha, as I’m sure you did not either.
“I was a little nervous coming up this morning, I have to admit, because you and I have not sat down for a real conversation since the sofa incident.”
To which Cruise responded, “I just felt that way, and I feel that way about [Katie].
“I can’t even articulate it, to be honest,” he adds. “That feeling, that connection. Just who she is and what she means to me.”
Of the negative response to his couch jumping, Cruise says, “It just kind of kept going.
“Those things I kind of go, ‘You just have to take in stride.’ It just kind of became a confluence of things.”
The actor, 45, also opened up about his 2005 interview with Matt Lauer, after her attacked the Today Show anchor, calling him “glib” during a chat about psychiatry and the use of anti-depressant drugs.
“I was feeling pressed in the interview with Matt Lauer,” Cruise says. “For me, my issue was really about child drugging. It’s not like it is today, like people are really kind of openly talking about this.”
“I think the parent should be able to and should make that decision,” Tom says of medicating children.
Tom also talked about the time he slammed Brooke Shields in the same 2005 interview for taking Paxil to treat post-partum depression following the birth of her daughter Rowan, saying his comments “came out wrong.”
“What I regret is even discussing Brooke in any way,” Cruise says.
Shields attended his 2006 wedding to Holmes. He says the incident has brought the two of them “closer”.
Tom also talked about Scientology — the controversial cult of which he is a devout follower.
He dodged Oprah’s question about whether he feels people negatively target him because of his Scientology involvement, but said: “It’s a minority religion, and I think that sometimes people misinterpret [it].
“I think the best thing is for people to read about it themselves. I believe people have the right to choose what they believe in.
“The code of Scientologists says you respect the religious beliefs of others,” Cruise adds. “That’s part of being a Scientologist, and that’s who I am as a person.”
Cruise also addressed the leaked video of himself at Scientology events discussing the religion, saying the footage — which appeared online — “was stolen. I was receiving an award that evening for global literacy. It was a very private moment. I’m actually talking to my congregation.”
“It’s [taken] totally out of context,” he adds.
And, on buying a sonogram machine for Holmes during her pregnancy, Cruise says he and and the former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actress took great pains to keep her pregnancy private. “We went in the middle of the night, and we were very excited — this is such a private moment,” he says.
“My life was already a zoo,” he says. When news leaked, “it was off the charts.
“When you’re having a baby, you just want it to be as safe and as easy as possible.”
Tom also revealed why he kept Suri hidden for so long. When the tot was born, the couple kept her away from the glare of the media. Some blogs speculated that the child was deformed. That talk, Cruise says, was “hard to hear.
“We just wanted to have our baby, have the kids and everyone get to know Suri, get the family up here and just chill and have that time that you never get back,” he explains. “You don’t ever get those moments back.”
On waiting three months to publish her photo in Vanity Fair in 2006, Cruise says, “Kate and I didn’t feel any need to [rush] it. We said, ‘Why? It’s our family.’ We just were on Suri time.”
On Suri, Cruise gushed, “She’s spectacular. She really is just magic.”
And on his marriage to Holmes being fake, Tom said, “That’s laughable to me!
“You just know that they’re trying to sell it and spin it.”
He says Holmes’ Catholic family has welcomed him.
“They’re amazing. I love them,” Cruise says. “You see why Kate is such an amazing woman — incredible integrity and strength. They’re family.”
And on his reputation: “Listen I, I feel like definitely things have been misunderstood, and there are things I could have done better,” Cruise admits. “But then there’s also that world where you go, ‘Oh, it’s been spun to such an extent that … that’s a truth also.”
He continues, “Knowing when and where to communicate, I think that’s important.
“A lot of times I was nervous giving interviews. Or I wasn’t sometimes as comfortable about things. And I realized that it’s okay.
“There’s stuff you have to just let go,” Cruise adds. “I just have to do the best I can.”
He also denied rumors he has pushed Nicole Kidman out of their adopted kids’ lives.
“No, that’s ridiculous,” he says. “We share custody. That’s what it is.”
Part two of Oprah’s interview airs Monday .

Tom's Date With Oprah
I definitely think Charleton is onto something. When I heard that TCC was going on Oprah for the 25th anniversary of "Risky Business," I thought - whaaaaat? This makes much more sense. Altho, if John Travolta hasn't converted her yet - TCC won't do it.
When we heard that Tom Cruise was planning a big two part appearance on Oprah's show again - we didn't believe for a minute the flimsy excuse for the event. Supposedly it's to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of Tom's movie "Risky Business." As if anyone cares about that! We think the truth is that Tom is furious with Oprah for getting on the Eckhart Tolle bandwagon and promoting his book "A New Earth." Tom reasons "Why isn't she promoting L Ron Hubbard's self improvement book "Dianetics?" After seeing what Oprah has done for Tolle's popularity, Tom is scheming to introduce Oprah to Scientology in a positive way. Recruiting Oprah would be a like catching the biggest fish of all time. Oprah makes the Beckhams look like small potatoes. We don't think she'll bite, do you?

Tom Cruise Brings CrazyBack to Oprah
Oh groan.
Tom Cruise is set to make another guest appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
The ‘Top Gun’ star — whose last appearance on America’s highest rated talk show was in June 2005, where he infamously declared his love for future wife Katie Holmes, and promoted film War of the Worlds — is likely to return to Oprah next month.
The focus of the show is not yet known, but the timing of Cruise’s appearance coincides with the 25th anniversary of the actor’s breakthrough role in Risky Business.
A rep for Warner Home Video told MSNBC that there are “special plans” for the anniversary, and details are being finalized.
Other A-listers have reportedly been approached about being involved in the show.
Reps for both Cruise and The Oprah Winfrey Show were unavailable for comment.

Tom & Katie to Split
Uh, yeah. Don't Tom Cruise Crazy's wives have to sign 10 year contracts I HIGHLY doubt the two are splitting anytime soon.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are preparing for a trial separation, it has been claimed.
The former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ star is said to be “crushed by the weight of her marriage” to the Top Gun star — and plans to take their daughter, Suri, with her to New York City. But Tom, say sources, is against her plans.
Star magazine claims that Katie, 29, is “trying to break away from her controlled life under the watchful eyes of her husband and move to Manhattan in what will be a sort of trial separation.”
A source told the publication: “She desperately needs to be on her own for a while, but there’s no way Tom is going to let her take Suri away.
“There’s no way he’ll allow it. He just doesn’t want Katie — or Suri — out of his sight for long. He told her that if she goes to New York, fine, but he goes with her.”
Further, says Star, Tom and Katie’s tug of war over their daughter has intensified as of late.
“Tom wants to call all the shots when it comes to Suri,” says an insider. “He has a lot of rules, and there’s conflict.”

Former Scientology Celeb: "It's F'd Up!"
I don't get Scientology at all. And any group who has Tom Cruise Crazy as their main spokesperson.... And John Travolta? And the aliens? Ugh. But I'm also the first to admit that I don't totally understand it and heck, if someone told me to join and I'd be a star....I'd be tempted! I admit it! That is the deal right?
SOMEONE page Tom Cruise - his former friend and Scientolo-pal is slamming his beloved church.
Jason Beghe, a character actor best known for roles on TV's "CSI," "Numb3rs" and the now-canceled "Cane," took to YouTube yesterday to slam his former religion.
Beghe, who was a member of the Church of Scientology for 13 years and was even featured in a promotional video for the church in 2005, now says, "Scientology is destructive and a rip-off."
In the video, billed as a three-minute teaser to a longer interview that's on its way, Beghe goes on to say, "It's very, very dangerous for your spiritual, psychological, mental, emotional health and evolution. I think it stunts your evolution. If Scientology is real, then something's [bleeped] up . . . It ain't delivering what it's promised. It sure has not."
Beghe wasn't just a peon in the church. The actor, who's best friends with David Duchovny, spent a lot of money to make it to the coveted "OT 5" level achieved by Cruise, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley.
But Beghe now warns, "The further up the bridge, the worse you get . . . I don't have an agenda. I'm just trying to help. I have the luxury of having gotten into Scientology and after having been in it, been out. And that's a perspective that people who are still in and not out do not have."
A rep for Scientology said, "There are millions of Scientologists around the world who will tell you of their daily wins in applying Scientology in their lives. One need only visit www.scientology.org to see this for yourself."
Beghe's salvo is the latest hit to Cruise's controversial faith. Since the beginning of the year, several creepy videos of Cruise exhorting people to join Scientology and laughing maniacally have hit the Web - videos which the church demanded be taken down, to no avail.
Last month, a group calling itself "Anonymous" took credit for bombarding Scientology churches across the country with prank calls, bomb threats and cyber attacks.
And in February, more than 50 masked protesters gathered outside of the Boston headquarters of Scientology and demonstrated against the church wearing Guy Fawkes masks.

Are Tom & Becks Going Into Business Together?
Mmmmmm....I doubt it.
Tom Cruise and David Beckham are buddies now, but they're on the road to becoming business partners. According to a friend of the guys, they're plotting to team up and buy a soccer team. David is still an awesome player but his career is winding down and he wants to go from soccer player to team owner. Theoretically, the combined star power of David and Tom would attract the biggest and best players. The guys are keeping their plans quiet for now but they're crunching numbers to put a deal together.

Or Are The Cruise's Dumping The Beckham's?
I love the goofy world of gossip. The same day you read that the boys are buying a soccer team together you read that Tom wants Katie to dump Posh. I don't know what Katie's deal is lately (especially with all of the passing out) but I doubt this is what's happening. Tom & Katie rolled out the red carpet in a major way for Posh & Becks. But...who knows. Posh's dvb fashion line has been pulled from alot of US stores and Becks had a disappointing season. Maybe they are dumping them?
Tom Cruise is concerned that wife Katie Holmes is spending too much time with pal Victoria Beckham, it has been claimed.
Sources say the Top Gun star is keen to put some distance between the pair, who have morphed into each other in recent months.
“Katie sees Victoria as a role model,” a source says. “She copies Victoria’s look and even cut her hair the same way.
“But it concerns Tom that Katie has lost so much weight recently.
“She is very thin largely because she is following Victoria’s strict 900-calories-a-day eating plan. She is copying Victoria’s fad of eating seaweed shakes, frozen grapes and edamame beans. She is tiny.”

Tom Cruise Movie Flop
Is it bad that all I can think of to say is "HAHA?!"
TOM Cruise has good reason to mend fences with Sumner Redstone - his United Artists deal with MGM may be going south. Last year's UA/Cruise movie "Lions for Lambs" was made for $35 million, but it grossed only $14.9 million. Now, another starring vehicle, "Valkyrie" - in which he plays a Nazi who tries to kill Hitler - has been pushed back for the third time, to February 2009. "Valkyrie" has not had good buzz and has already cost UA and MGM close to $90 million - and director Bryan Singer is still not finished shooting. Plus, execs are said to be perplexed about how to market the melodrama. In March, Cruise had lunch with his old Paramount foe Redstone - who fired him two years ago. Word is Cruise also took daughter Suri to a Paramount theme park, which is owned by Viacom, spurring rumors of a reconciliation and a possible move for Cruise back to Paramount. But a rep for UA would say only, "Sometimes a lunch is just a lunch." (Source: Page Six)
