Chris Brown In Court Today

Page Six is reporting that Chris Brown tipped Miami paparazzi that he and Rihanna were spending time at Diddy's Star Island estate. Sources say, "He needs it to be out there that he and Rihanna are back together. His only chance for a career was if she got back together with him, and he wanted people to see them there."

A rep for Brown said, "To my knowledge this is not true." Unfortunately for Brown, while he provided many photo ops - riding on jet skis, ogling women's bottoms and chatting up ladies - Rihanna stayed hidden inside the house. The couple was snapped together (again, mysteriously) Monday as they boarded a private jet to LA.

In more news, Rihanna has reportedly has told LAPD she won't testify against Chris Brown.

"She has had a change of heart and doesn't want the case to proceed," Britain's The Sun quoted a police source saying. California law allows prosecutors to charge a person with domestic violence, even if the couple reunites.

Meanwhile, TMZ.com reported cops turned over the case to the LA County prosecutor. Brown is scheduled to make an appearance in court today. It will be interesting to see if the D.A. files charges tomorrow and if Brown is arraigned. If that happens, it will be especially interesting if Rihanna shows up with him.

The LAPD does have pretty good evidence against Brown in the form of their interview with Rihanna from the night of the altercation. LAPD cops interviewed Rihanna after the attack and she told them Brown had been violent toward her in the past and that the attacks were getting "more violent" as time went on.

And TMZ is reporting that there's something else. In addition to the leaked photo showing Rihanna's injuries, additional pics were taken on February 9 (the day after the attack), and they are far more gruesome. The bruises and swelling far more pronounced. We're told these photos show injuries that could be devastating in a case against Brown. Let's hope so!

I sure hope so!
I'm glad that the case will and can be continued even if the abused changes their mind.
