Last season's American Idol winner, David Cook, has taken to his MySpace blog to issue the following open letter:
I have to address some behavior that has become disturbing. We pride ourselves on being accessible to you as fans, but in contrast, we do enjoy what little privacy we can muster. To that end, the efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn. This relationship only works when it remains healthy for both parties, and should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you.
I hope this doesn't come off as harsh. I merely want to nip this in the bud so we can continue to have a great experience with all of you at the shows we have coming up. Take care and see you at the next show.
Hmmmmmm....I dunno. I think it comes off as a little high and mighty. What do YOU think?

I agree, seems assy to me!
I think it's ok. We don't know what some of his fans have done already!
High and mighty because he doesn't want people stalking his hotel room and attaching things to his bus? Trust me, he is much more accommodating to the crazies than I would be.
A few of his fans have turned into stalkers. The blog was needed. I am glad he wrote it.
This is the first time I have even heard about David Cook since American Idol. He has crazy stalker fans? Wow!

I'd like to hear more about these crazy fans and the lengths that they go to that are out of the norm. Otherwise it seems to me that it's all a part of the business. When haven't fans tried to find out what hotel their favorites are staying when they come to town?
Nope, not assy...have you SEEN what Idol fans can be like? (Claymates) You buy a concert ticket, all the guy owes you is a great show. Not his *evarlasting friendship and love*. sheesh
Dear David,
These are the same pathetic idiots who buy your crappy music and prop up whatever "celebrity" American Idol was able to manufacture for you.
If you'd like to be able to continue to pay your bills and afford to keep up with your collection of four years past cool rubberized bracelets, kindly shut the fuck up.
Thank you,
The Management
LOL @ atky2000!
It sounds douchy. But then again, I can't imagine what sort of problems that lifestyle would attract.
