Things just keep getting worse for Chris Brown as more information unfolds regarding how extensive her injuries are. TMZ has learned that police have PHOTOS of her injuries and they are indeed, horrific.
In addition to the major contusions on both sides of the singer's face (with serious swelling and bruising), her lip is split and her nose bloody. TMZ has also confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.
In her statement to police Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that's what did the damage. Like I heard all weekend, she was beaten.
Again, according to TMZ Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. The photos alone are "devastating proof of abuse."
Rihanna did not call 911, someone hearing her screams made the call.
UPDATE: Longtime Hollywood gossip maven, Janet Charlton is reporting that on the night of the attack "Rihanna had supposedly found numbers in Chris's phone that he shouldn't have. She grabbed the car keys and pretended to toss them out the window. THAT did it. He FREAKED out and let her have it. And we also heard THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE."

How awful. I though he seemed like such a nice guy (I especially liked when he did a duet with Elmo, lol). I can't believe he'd hit her, it's just terrible. Poor woman, I hope she is ok and she is done with him for good.

the saddest part about it is. i bet they won't even break up. he will give some announcement about taking anger classes and she is going to make excuses and they will be together. that's what i see. because if she didn't call the police herself then she doesn't want HIM to get in trouble and she will stay. its the classic actions of an abused woman. famous or not she is a 20 year old GIRL. she has a lot of learning to do. and i truly hope this opens her eyes.

If someone is able to snap like that then I don't see where it would need to be provoked. We really don't know him at all. We know what he shows us. I can't imagine what anyone could do to provoke that type of reaction. She could have cheated on him for all I care and he just found out, normal decent people do NOT react that way.
Bite marks usually means you try to get away or out of the dangerous painful situation.. maybe he couldn't and had to hit.

Way to blame the victim, Hillary. This kind of apologetics is so damaging when there is a world wide crisis of violence against women and it's so accepted and excused that no one even talks about it. You don't have to be perfect in order to deserve to not be physically, verbally abused or murdered!
Bottom line is that Chris Brown is an entertainer and he's going to let us see what he wants us to see. if he did indeed do this and is capable of it, he's not going to portray that out in the world.

Rihanna has admitted that she once hit her brother with a glass bottle.
The Bajan beauty, who has topped the UK singles chart for the last six weeks with her smash hit 'Umbrella', confessed that she failed to see eye to eye with her two younger brothers while she was growing up.
She told Complex: "We talk all the time now, but we used to fight, and when I say fight, I don't mean arguments. I mean we used to physically fight.
"One time I hit my older brother in the face with a glass bottle. My mum was pretty upset."
None of us know these people so we don't know what they're capable of. Being an entertainer is an act, we see what they want us to see.
And I don't care what a woman does, no woman deserves to get beat up. Even if she was the biggest "whore" around, it doesn't matter. What an archaic, idiotic way of thinking. No wonder the comment was anonymous. Any coward who would condone/encourage beating the shit out of a woman would never have the balls to type their name next to their asinine, immature tripe.

I'm just curious because my little sister and I used to fight too, granted I never hit her with a bottle but I did throw a brush or two at her. That was in middleschool/highschool and I have never beat up anyone. It does happen. It doesn't matter if she did anything or not. Abusive people can go off with no provoking. They have a bad day and it happens. And good for you that you would get out but for many women its not so easy and there aren't always strong warning signs. Reguardless NO ONE deserves to be abused. And it is in extremely poor taste to blame the victim.

For arguments sake let's say she did slap or hit him(which is also not right). And I totally agree with you Nikki about siblings physically fighting often. In fact, I doubt you could find siblings that haven't at some point in their childhood fought physically with each other.

I think it would be awful to see the pics. However, if she does what's best for her and leaves him, I also think that it might help other women who have been hit to see what she lived through and know that it's not ok to be beaten up and it's not normal to be in that kind of relationship.

None of us have a right to see those pictures. I'm sure the last thing she cares about is proving anything to random people online. He is innocent until proven guilty by the court of law. If she named him as the attacker plus with the visible injuries it's pretty easy to see that he gave her a beating. The reason for it and the extent of it is unknown to us though. I think most of us were just outraged by the idea that Rihanna deserved it, asked for it, ENJOYED it, or the best one yet beat herself up to get him in trouble.
