Oscar Nominations!

Well, they did it! The Academy got smart and nominated The Brange. Brad + Angelina = Ratings?! Let's hope. In my humble opinion Angelina did NOT deserve the nomination for Best Actress but I'm thrilled she got it. Think maybe she could step up the style for the event? Please?!

I'm pretty up on my movies so why did I not know about The Visitor? It's by Thomas McCarthy who directed The Station Agent, one of my all-time favorite movies. (Have I ever mentioned that I have a huge crush on Peter Dinklage?)

Here's my list of movies I need to see (in no particular order):
The Wrestler

I admit that the only one of those movies I've seen is Wall-E and I technically was just in the room while it was on.

It is so sad that I have hardly seen any of those movies. Just Slumdog Millionaire, Wall-E (most of it) and Kung Fu Panda. I need a life!

BTW I love Peter Dinklage too. Did you see him on 30 Rock?

I normally don't go to the movie these days, so I wait till they're released on DVD.

*waiting patiently*

So we saw the Wrestler the other night. It is pretty damn good. I think Mickey was PERFECT for the role! I haven't seen a ton of these movies. Wall-E bored me. In Bruges wasn't bad.

WHAT THE HELL?! GRAN TORINO GETS NOTHING?! My only hope is that Clint Eastwood Shows up and kicks some Academy ass.

Frost/Nixon? It's a movie about a television interview. That's like a newspaper story about bathroom graffiti.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button? How about the boring case of watching any movie backwards.

The Wrestler was fantastic though, Marisa Tomei may not have been Oscar worthy in it, but Mickey Rourke was absolutely brilliant.

If he doesn't get best actor and Heath wins best supporting I'm never going to trust the Academy again. I'm president of the Down With Heath for Best Supporting Actor Club.

I cannot believe that Gran Torino got shafted. Benji Button was ok, probably better than ok, but still -- come ON.

I was surprised by the Clint snub, as well! The Academy LOVES him.

I didn't love Benji Button. Go see Forrest Gump instead.

But honestly, Frost/Nixon deserves the noms. It was EXCELLENT! I seriously loved it and wasn't at all excited to see it.

Yup, I've only seen Wall-E and Kung-fu Panda

I can't comment much as I've only seen Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda. Panda gets my vote in that category.

I have to say I'm totally surprised that Gran Turino wasn't there with all the talk of it.

Can't wait to see who wins!

The only one I've really seen is Wall-E (about 20 times). I saw about 1/3 of Kun Fu Panda, and it was just ok. I really liked Wall-E better.
