Hugh Jackman To Host Oscars

"Thirty years ago when I was in Sydney watching Johnny Carson host the Oscars with my family, I never imagined that I'd one day have the chance to be up on that stage myself! I am very grateful to the Academy for giving me this opportunity. And, excited to be working with Larry and Bill on what I know will be a fun and memorable celebration."

Ugh. I'm so disappointed that Hugh Jackman is hosting The Academy Awards. I like Hugh as an actor just fine...altho I'm not entirely sure I've seen any of his movies? But really, a song and dance man? I was excited when I heard that Ricky Gervais was being considered - he'd be awesome! I wish Hugh alot of luck. After all, my favorite night of the year is Oscar's Night. But....ugh.
