Have you seen Kate Winslet's new spread in Vanity Fair?! OMG! She looks amazing! I really hope she gets her Oscar soon. Totally deserved and this looks to be a good year for her.
Kate Winslet is desperate to win an Oscar.
The Titanic actress - who has been nominated for one of the prestigious accolades five times - is determined to eventually bag herself one of the coveted gongs.
She says, "Do I want it? You bet your f***ing a** I do! I think that people assume that I don't care or don't want it or don't need it or something. It's hard to be there five times, and I'm only human, you know? But I don't go home and cry, because we're all grown-ups here."
At the age of 22, Kate broke the record for the youngest person to receive two Oscar nominations, and each of her subsequent nominations has broken a further record: the youngest person to receive three, four, and five nominations.
And Kate - who stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in new movie Revolutionary Road - says she was delighted when she heard she had broken the record, particularly as she has not received any classical acting training.
She said, "I remember when somebody told me about the record, I did allow myself a serious fist-punching-in-the-air moment, by myself in the apartment, you know, just leaping around and screaming and going, 'F**k yeah!' This wasn't supposed to happen to somebody like me. I'm not the pedigree kid. I'm not classically trained."

Rumours abound in the Brit tabloids that this spread was airbrushed. Remember that she was digitally slimmed in the magazine a few years back. Word on the street is she's mega pissed about it and that it's all her with no touch ups other than skin tone which happens to pretty much everyone.
If it's been majorly airbrushed it'll only work in her favor with the minivan majority. Regardless, she's a beauty and an amazing talent who eventually WILL get her Oscar! Right? Right?
I'm not a Kate fan but that's a really nice shot. I have been reading about the airbrushing too. Seriously though ~ how much airbrushing can they do ~ even if they did any, she's still hot.
