TGIF: Happy Halloween

Photobucket
I tried SO hard to convince my kids to go as a hamburger and hotdog for Halloween. I told them if they went as a burger and a dog that daddy and I would dress up as ketchup and mustard. My 5-year old, Jake laughed and said, "NO!!!!" What? He's already too cool for us?! Hrmph!

Jake declared, "I don't want to wear a mask and I don't want any face paint!" My 3-year old, Sam, was resolute, "I want to be James." You know James, don't you? Of Thomas the Train fame? Of course you don't. Jake thought maybe he would be Thomas so I went ahead and ordered the costumes. The day they came Jake took his out of the packing and glumly pouted, "This isn't what I thought it would be. This is a crappy costume." To which Sam happily replied, "YAY! I'll be James at school and Thomas for trick or treat!"

When asked what he was going to be for Halloween Sam would reply, "Crappy James!"

And Jake ended up being a race car driver because I told him he could carry a flashlight. Flashlights are MAJOR enticements for a 5 year old.

I'm still not sure what Craig and I will be, maybe we could go as cookies n' milk like Mariah and Nick Cannon?! (puke!)

Happy Halloween everyone!
