Poor Meg Ryan. Why on earth would she bring up the very thing that seemingly killed her career?! No one wanted to see America's Sweetheart (who was married at the time) hook up with Russell Crowe. Certainly no one wanted to see it after their painful collaboration in Proof of Life. And no one wants to hear about it now as The Women flops for Ryan.
DENNIS Quaid has hit back at ex-wife Meg Ryan after she spoke about their divorce while promoting new movie The Women.
Ryan, 46 -- who plays a scorned wife in the new chick flick -- recently said she wasn't the first to stray when she had her affair with Russell Crowe.
"Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful," she told In Style magazine. "I just feel like every now and then you have to fill in the gaps for people."
But Quaid -- who is now married to estate agent Kimberly Buffington, with whom he has twins -- is not amused by his former spouse's comments -- and insists he moved on years ago.
He tells the New York Daily News, "It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship.
"Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce.
"I, myself, moved on years ago and am fortunate to have a happy, beautiful family."
He added, "Meg and I have always had joint custody of Jack without any stipulations whatsoever."

Yah know if she is telling the truth about him cheating, what's wrong with her saying it? It was what it was. If he cheated, he did. Why is he making her look like the bad guy for telling the truth? Do you think he's still feeling guilty? Hmmm....
