Did you hear that Lindsay Lohan offered herself up to the Obama campaign to act as a representative to younger voters. Well, wisely, the Obama team passed. Now, Lindsay's estranged dad is blasting them for not taking LiLo up on her offer. COME ON! Sure, I hope Lindsay will make a comeback - but word on the street is that she's OPENLY using again. NOT GOOD. There's no way Obama is going to want to be associated with her! Can you imagine the fall-out if she gets in trouble again?! 
Lindsay Lohan's father Michael has come to his daughter's defence after U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama reportedly rejected the actress' offer to help raise funds for his race to the White House.
The Mean Girls star allegedly offered to host a fundraiser to rally support for his candidacy among young voters.
The offer was reportedly snubbed because of Lohan's wild past - she is a reformed drug and alcohol addict who spent several sessions in rehab last year (08).
Obama's Democrat camp are said to have refused to invite Lohan to campaign for them because she "is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us".
But Lohan's dad Michael, who has a turbulent relationship with his famous daughter, has hit out at Obama's people, insisting the actress will turn her life around like former Hollywood hellraiser Angelina Jolie.
He tells TMZ.com, "Everyone is entitled to an opinion and so is Obama and his staff. Then again, you know what they say about opinions.
"Unfortunately, for them, to make such a comment about my daughter was a big mistake... Look at Angelina Jolie and the wonderful things she has done in her life, and now watch how Lindsay does the same."

Her dad needs to get a life. Lindsay Lohan and Angelina Jolie shouldn't even be in the same sentence. Good for Obama for declining her offer.
Michael Lohan--what part of SHUT THE FUCK UP do you not understand? Poor Lindsay--I am so glad he's not my father.
Linsay just does not look hot anymore. I think it all started when she started dating Sam. She looked best around the time of Mean Girls. It's been downhill since then.
I'm not one for any celebs endorsing political candidates. Smart move Obama! Linds' dad is a tool.

Why does Michael Lohan think that anyone cares what he has to say. He is the father of a celebrity, not a celebrity himself (although he probably thinks he is one).

Nope. He finally figured out people are sick of having Hollywood and journalists telling them how to vote.

I like Lindsay, even through all her drama -- except for when she blamed the black dude for her recklessness in that car. That was not fresh. However, I too believe Lindsay can come back. She has skills, they're just being wasted. I believe Samantha has been better for her than a lot of the men who used and abused her. I'm sorry that she's started using again. Michael Lohan, however should stay out of it and let his daughter deal with this. If she's for real, she will find other ways to support Obama. If she's just another Daddy Yankee (and folks are finding out by now that Yankee went to OBAMA first, then switched to McCain when Obama said no, it was all for publicity for himself) then Obama did well in not accepting such false and self-serving support.
Michael Lohan is probably the type of man to call Obama the n-word in private. I just get that feeling. I hope Lindsay can come out of this stronger and wiser and without pettiness. I hope she can be better than her father and her mother, Dina Sullivan Lohan. Prayers to Lindsay and Samantha; and an 'eff you' to MIchael and Dina.
