I don't think it's any secret that I'm supporting Obama in this year's election. I want to make it clear that I don't hate McCain. I think he's served our country honorably throughout his entire life. I'm concerned with his choice in running mate Sarah Palin and Matt Damon brings up some good points here. Have you been watching Charlie Gibson's interview with Palin? I've read transcripts but have yet to see the pieces of the interview that have aired. It's on my "to-do" list today.
Anyway, I'm not going to go into full-on politics here - but I did like this interview with Matt Damon. I'm all about Matt Damon right now. I love Matt Damon. I love him so much I'm posting TWO Matt Damon videos.

My main problem with Obama is that he has voted in favor of partial birth abortions and botched abortions. I understand when people are pro-choice but making it legal to take the life of a baby that could survive outside the womb seems horrifying to me and I don't see how anyone could support that.

I think it's discouraging that anyone would base this election on the abortion issue alone. There are so many bigger problems we're facing. And while a woman's right to choose is definitely important to me - I'm focused on bigger issues like our economy and foreign relations this time around.
I wish I could edit my comments. lol Please don't take my comment as me specifically calling out the original commenter. SO many of my friends base their presidential candidates based SOLELY on the issue of abortion. Heck, in the past I probably did, too! I've just realized that's just a piece of the puzzle for me - but I have to look at other issues that are important to me, as well.

I generally get annoyed by celebs making videos like this. However, atleast Matt Damon sounds like he's got something going on in that brain. People like Perez and Puff Daddy, Diddy, P. Diddy, whatever, I think sound like morons.
Nikki I agree with you too, about basing your vote on one or two issues.
