Hmmmmm....? I dunno - some of this sounds believable but I can't see Ellen insisting that Portia get pregnant. Surely they could adopt. I can't see this being the crux of the argument. However, I can see Ellen wanting to be a mom and if Portia doesn't want that it could cause problems. I hope they aren't having problems that can't be resolved. I want them to make it.
Newlyweds Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are arguing about whether to have a baby, it has been claimed.
The couple -- who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony last month -- are said to be fighting about the prospect of starting a family.
Ellen, 50, is determined to become a mom, while Portia, 35, is less keen because she would be the one carrying the child.
A source tells the National Enquirer magazine, "Ellen wants Portia to get pregnant, an idea they had both ruled out before the wedding. Portia feels the baby issue has been decided and she is very upset.
"But Ellen has gotten all goofy over the baby issue. She has been in tears trying to get Portia to reconsider. Now the situation is very tense.
"Ellen always said, 'First marriage, then kids.' She said no to a baby before because she wasn't settled. But Ellen was sure everything would fall naturally into place after she gave Portia her dream wedding.
"Now Ellen has got the baby itch again - in a bad way. But Portia won't budge. So Ellen is sobbing to friends she feels like the air has been let out of her sails. Ellen should be on top of the world, but instead she is heartbroken."

I agree, I can't really see her insisting that Portia carry the baby. They can always adopt. I doubt there is anything to this, there are probably just people out there who want to see them fail so they are starting rumors. I want to see them make it too.

Some people are funny about adopting. I hate to say it but I think Ellen wants Portia pregnant to "show the world" she "got her!" I find the whole "she's mine! Stay away John Stamos" thing to be, well, puke. Is this an adult relationship or what? I don't think they are going to make it more than a year more. Not only did Ellen have to have the Sexiest woman in the biz but she had to have the whole shebang with her. I doubt that Portia is really thinking in terms of "til Ellen dies" either. I think she likes Ellen's status and money a tad more than she likes Ellen. Sorry folks but I never felt this was legit. Too much glitz and show. At least with Alex, Ellen looked like a smart and stable lesbian woman whom everyone respected and adored, now, she looks like a fool trying to hold onto and control a much younger hollywood babe. You think Portia is gonna wipe a poopy but whether she adopts or not? That'll be the day.
Ellen looks like a fool, sorry, but thats my opinion.
I predict that Portia will dump Ellen big time in the next 18 months for an older (but not as old as Ellen) very famous and oh so hot Hollywood dude and then she'll get pregnant several times and have a brood with the dude, like Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas. Mark these words, its gonna happen and it's gonna be juicy! Ellen will refuge on the L-word, not be as famous and try to get back with Alex, unsuccessfully. While Alex Hedison becomes involved with Rachel Maddow and they get married legally in Mass, and Alex gets pregnant and has a family with Rachel.
So does this mean that Rachels much older 50 year old partner Susan whatherface and Ellen get together?
Yeah, Portia was already married to a guy like for 6 years and she keeps saying how gay she is. I don't think she's gay. She is only gay as long as the gay ladies cash holds out. I think he would leave for a famous dude too.
