Brit Being Pushed Too Hard?

Pray for Britney, ya'll. As excited as I am for her album to come out and to see her do a little press (surely a big interview is being negotiated?!), I would hate to see her fail.

Britney Spears' friends and family believe the singer is being pushed too hard by her record label amidst the news she is set to release her sixth studio album, Circus, on Dec. 2.

The LP -- a follow-up to 2007's Blackout -- was originally scheduled to hit shops later next year (09).

But rumors suggested that bosses at Spears' music label, Jive Records, were keen to push the release date forward to take advantage of her current popularity.

Label chiefs confirmed earlier this week that the record will be released in December, to coincide with the Spears' 27th birthday.

But those closest to Britney worry that the move could have a negative-impact on the star.

A source tells MSNBC, "Britney has been going to the studio ever since she got out of the hospital, but it was more a therapeutic exercise than anything.

"The people who really care about her knew that even though she wants to be the pop star she used to be, it won't be good for her. Even her label, Jive, understood that.

"It's a little unsettling to us that they'd want her to get back to recording so fast."

The insider added that the swift turnaround on the record won't be an issue.

"She's not Paul Simon. As long as it's produced well and has a good beat, she'll have a hit," says the source. "Really, the quicker we do it, the better it will be. You shouldn’t overthink some things."

I'd really hate to see her have a set back. I've never bought a CD or anything of hers but I am very interested in seeing what she puts out this time around and would love to get it.
