I just finished watching the 2-hour season premiere of America's Next Top Model. The annoying futuristic techy theme of the first hour was distracting, but the second hour was the ANTM that we're all used to. Thank God because if I had to listen to Tyra refer to The Jay's as Alpha Jay and Beta Jay one more time I was going to throw something at the screen. Whoever came up with the concept should be slapped.
There's been alot of hype surrounding Isis, the transgender contestant. I found her to be very sweet, and the most "real" of all the girls there. She's a damn good model besides. Most of the other girls are so young, so immature and as a result - so mean. It's infuriating to listen to some of them - and exactly the reaction I'm sure the show is looking for. Screw plus-size models - bring on the transgendered!
I know alot of people who have given up on ANTM. They think the quality of the girls has gone down and Tyra is out of control. I don't necessarily disagree. However, I have kids and don't really go out on weeknights, so I still watch it. The season premiere whet my appetite for the season to come - catfights, bi-curious chicks, nerds, divas, and a transgendered person?! Seriously, what's better than that?
Oh, I know....NIGEL BARKER. SWOON! I need to update The Celebrity Boyfriends List this week.
If you're an ANTM junkie like me, you won't be disappointed. Well, you'll be annoyed with the first hour - but the second hour is good. Catch the season premiere September 2nd on The CW.

This comes on this week right? Did the CW send this to you early or something? Was this the first thing they let you see if so? I never remember to watch when they are new but I love to watch the all day marathons on MTV/VH1 when they do them.
Yes! It premieres Sept 2nd (so next week). I also got the first 3 eps of Gossip Girl and an ep another new show (can't remember the name). I watched the first GG ep and it was AWESOME.
Ok now I see that I totally missed the last paragraph, lol. I haven't gotten into Gossip Girl but I know how you love it, so awesome, haha.
