Can you even believe that we'll be celebrating the 4th of July this week? The 4th always signifies to me that summer is half over. So, if we're halfway into the summer then we must have our favorite summer essentials figured out, right? Here are some of my favorite things.
Summer Dresses:
I love, love, love being able to throw on a dress and a pair of cute sandals in the summertime. My favorite summer dresses have come from Anthropologie this year.
Gladiators:
I'm normally a flip flop girl. However, after a lively conversation with a group of girls regarding flip flops I decided I don't want to be that dirty footed girl running around the bar with my feet flipping about. Enter my Sam Edelman Ginger gladiators. I can wear them with anything, they're super comfortable and at $88.95, they didn't break the bank!

Swingtown: 
Oh sure, it's cheesy and sometimes stupid, but so far my favorite summer guilty pleasure is this 70's era swingers-themed tv show on CBS. It airs Thursdays at 10pm et/pt, 9pm ct.

This bra changed my life. I have never found a strapless bra that worked for me. This bra is like magic.

Oh Nikki, you know I love me some Sangria. But I have to say my summer must have or this years drink of the summer is Campari with OJ on ice. Sooooooooo good, refreshing and not too sweet.
I am a high heel girl, but I absolutly adore your gladiator sandals and I am dying for a pair like yours.

I've never tried Sangria but it sure sounds good. And I've heard nothing but GOOD things about your recipe. Might just have to try that one of these days. :p

In my life I've never found any eyeshadows that stay longer or have such great colors. A little bit of primer first and those eyeshadows last and last and last!

The Sangria was so yummy! Maybe too yummy lol. I love me some flip flops and those sandals are just too cute! I am with Ro on the M.A.C. eyeshadows...totally worth every penny! I love Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer potion in the cute genie looking tube. Another MUST have!

Sunless tanning that looks natural. I especially love Mystic spray tanning and Clinique Radiant Bronze Face & Body Tinted Self-Tanner.

Fresh summer tomatoes
Midori Sours - yum!
Longer days
Watching my kids play in the pool and run through sprinklers.
I could go on!
I am not in any way girly and don't know crap about fashion. My summer must have are only going to apply to me and this summer.
1. Shorts (normally I wouldn't be caught dead in them, but I have no a/c)
2. A fan on full blast
3. lots and lots of baby stuff
4. a tuba ligation (so this doesn't happen again, lol)
figures I end up with a typo... no I don't need a ligation for my tuba... that should say tubal!
I'm so making some of that Sangria once this little guy breaks out.

I am loving reading about the summer faves. Nikki those sandals are fabulous, and your sangria was deadly good.
My faves...I'm more like Stacee than Nikki. But a few for me are:
Tanqueray and Tonics. I drink these all year round though, hope it still counts.
Sun dresses with a denim jacket. So comfy and cute. Where I live its chilly on the way to work so the denim jacket is essential.
Fresh fruit. Berries and watermelon. Oooooh, yeah.

I am the fairst of the fair skinned girls (I probably -glow- when I'm at the pool LOL). I LOVE Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55. I wear this every day and LOVE it. It doesn't clog my pores or cause breakouts.
Mmmm Sangria! I am a lot like Stacee except I have A/C and I'm not knocked up. One of my new favorite places though is Chicago!

My new summer drink is rosé wine. NOT White Zinfandel that other pink, sweet wine. Dry, fruity, pink wine that is pretty cheap and very tasty served very cold on a summer day. The Big House Pink is a good brand for under $10.
I also love the summer fashions at Target. They I got some really cute seersucker shorts that I love. Good dressed up for work and fun for weekend.
I've gotten some really cute dresses at Target this summer, too!! I esp LOVED the Jovovich-Hawk line.
