Why shouldn't she?? "Grey's Anatomy" has kind of sucked for the past year and a half and she's a bonafide Movie Star!
....which is exactly why Disney won't let her out of her contract. 
Katherine Heigl is reportedly planning to quit hit US TV show Grey’s Anatomy to concentrate on her film career.
The actress — who shot to fame playing Dr. Isobel Stevens on the show — has since found success in romantic comedies ‘Knocked Up’ and ‘27 Dresses’ — and is now said to be keen to end her contract with Grey’s to focus entirely on movies.
A source close to the actress said: “She’s working really long hours and is ready to move on. She’s a smart one.
“She saw what can happen with someone like Jennifer Aniston, who was crazy successful on TV, but can’t seem to carry a film, and she tested the waters early.”
However, Katherine — whose negotiations for her contract renewal on the show were made public 15 months ago — may be locked into her contract and will have to continue starring in the hit medical drama.
The source added to Us Weekly magazine: “I don’t think she’ll be able to get out of it.”

I hate her on Greys anymore...she can leave lol. I just don't like what they have done with her character
I don't either, Karey. The whole affair with George was wrong, wrong, wrong. Just didn't work. And now it seems like they don't know how to get back on track.
I agree that the story line went wrong, but I still like her on Grey's. I think the fact that we all know he's gay made for a weird story line.
I loved the story line with her and Denny, I still can't believe they killed him off. I agree her character's gone downhill from there, and if they can't get her character into a decent storyline, then I agree she's better off in films. I loved both Knocked up and 27 Dresses.
Agreed the Denny line was perfect and now they have just turned her into this ditzy, indecisive chick. I don't know...I just don't like her. I gotta be honest she isn't my favorite actor either.
I've never seen this show and I haven't seen those two movies but she is hot in that photo!
I never cared for her much on Grey's so it won't bother me to see here gone.
