I'm sorry, ya'll know I like Miley Cyrus - but I call bullsh*t on her family. It's bullsh*t that they're playing Hot Potato on who is to blame for this "Racy Photo Scandal" surrounding them. They are her PARENTS. Of course they saw all of the pictures. As closely as they guide her career, are you kidding me? And if they didn't - shame on them. But I'm sorry, Annie Lebowitz is taking your 15 year old daughter's photos - you don't leave the shoot and you don't not look at all of the shots before they're published. Bullsh*t.
Miley Cyrus’ parents were not present when the semi-topless photo of their 15-year-old daughter was taken — and they aren’t pleased.
Sources close to the family say that Cyrus patriarch Billy Ray and his wife Tish were at the Vanity Fair shoot all day — but decided to leave before the final, risqué photo of Miley was snapped.
“They were happy with the photos taken earlier in the day, but they didn’t see the photo in question until now,” Us Weekly magazine quotes a source as saying.
Amidst the controversy of the shoot — by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz — a rep for Vanity Fair magazine said, “Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot, and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.”
And while the controversy dies down, the Hannah Montana star is hiding out in Nashville, and she’s “embarrassed,” the source says. “Her parents are really upset about the situation.”
On Monday, Bill O’Reilly blasted the “Achy Breaky Heart Singer” for allowing his teen daughter to pose for Vanity Fair in the first place.
“Vanity Fair … is not her audience at all,” he said, adding that he turned her into a “sex symbol” at 15.
He suggested she “do Oprah and say, ‘We made a mistake, here’s why and it won’t happen again’.” (Source: Showbiz Spy)

Eh I still feel bad for her. That's prety much what I was reading about it yesterday. I'm over it but just have one more thing to say. If Annie Leibovitz is sooooo great, why did she use such an ugly pic? The more I see it the more hideous it becomes. Still not racy to me at all but it's just awful. I saw lots of other pics from that shoot and they were much better.
I agree with you Stacee - I wasn't impressed with any of the pics, really!
I do feel sorry for Miley. But I wish her parents would just step up and accept responsiblity. Because no matter how you look at it - whether they were there or not - it's their responsibilty as parents of a 15 year old!
I think Miley is carrying too much of the blame right now. I mean - she's 15! Of course she would want to look sexy! As I've said, I'm not in an uproar about any of the pics - but if anyone is to "blame," I guess it's her mom & dad.
I had a long comment on this earlier and it didn't go through for some reason but it all boils down to this.
*I feel sorry for Miley, she's 15 and not to blame for this.
*Her parents, there or not, are responsible and shame on them, they HAD to have known pictures like this would cause a stir after the silly candids floating around did.
*The magazine/photographer played their part in it too and they are just loving the press and will probably sell a LOT of magazines.
*The picture is HORRIBLE.
