George Clooney to Return to "ER?"

The UK's Showbiz Spy is reporting that "ER" creators would love to have George Clooney reprise his roll of Dr. Ross sometime during the show's 15th and final season. My initial reaction is "NO way will he do it." But then I got to thinking about what a cool guy George Clooney is and ER really did give him his big break. Maybe he will do it? Wouldn't it be weird to watch ER again? I mean, no one has really watched it since he left...have they? lol I'm just kidding! No one has watched it since Goran Visnjic left...have they?

Could George Clooney be returning to ‘ER’ for its final season?

Producers of the hit show have said they would like the actor, 46, to appear on the NBC show’s 15th and final season.

“We want to revisit characters that have existed on the show over the years and say where they are now,” says producer David Zabel. “We’d love to get them all back in some way, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to. But we’re gonna try.”

According to Entertainment Weekly, Zabel and producer John Wells have said they would like to see an update of Clooney’s character — Doug Ross — and Julianna Margulies’ character, and Noah Wyle is already reportedly set to reprise his role as Dr. Carter for four episodes. Goran Visnjic and Maura Tierney are also expected to make an appearance. They’d even like to bring back Anthony Edwards — even though his character died on the show.

“That’s a little tricky, but there are ways to do it that we’ve thought about — even if it were like a lost episode from 1996 featuring him and Wyle,” says Zabel.

I'm so sad ER is going to be over. I am one of the few loyal fans. I'm not a George fan myself but would like to see him return to the show.
